Here it goes!

I have finally received the email from OU welcoming me to the course. Time for me to go to the OU StudentHome page. Not much is on there as yet but soon it will be busier than the 9 o'clock rush hour traffic (well it can be depending on what/how many courses you have for the year).

A quick glance at the module page tells me that the TU100 module website will open on the 24th of January, which means I have time to prepare for a few things.

    1. Hey Naz.

Congrats on enrolling onto TU100. I’m sure you will enjoy it. If this is your first course with the OU then it is the best step forward as it gives you the insight into the OU way of study.

As for the course, it is made up of essay writing, logic development, mathematics/statistics and programming.

As for myself, I really enjoyed this course and am currently working on the final project. I have to say this course needs a lot more time than is given (one reason I stopped updating this blog) so the trick is to do selective study.

Well I hope this helps, drop a line if you need any help and good luck. I will hopefully do some more entries on this blog after Iv finished my project in the hope that its not considered plagiarism.

  3. Hello

Sorry for the late reply. As you can see I dont maintain this blog. I started it for TU100 but needed a bit more dedication.

I am assuming you would have already submitted your EMA.

From my experience I would recommend to stick to the word count.

Reference materials in your questions according to the guidelines. Any files you attach along with the main document will also need to be referenced properly for the examiner's ease and for you to score the marks. In the end of every question compile a reference list.

Headings in bold would not only look good but segregate the content of your EMA nicely.

I had a question with calculations, unit conversions and rounding figures so anything like that will need extra attention.

Apart from that I wouldn't spend too much time on it if you have other courses going on,as TU100 is a level 1 course and doesn't weigh much towards your degree.

    Hope that helps.
